We need volunteers!

Courtesy Boat Inspections in 2024 will be conducted by volunteers. In the past, Friends did a few days of inspections at the Lower Wilson Pond boat launch and at the Greenville Junction Wharf on Moosehead Lake. There is much more that can be done if more volunteers and staff were available. We would like to monitor the Lower Wilson Pond boat ramp every weekend from Memorial Day until the water level is too low to launch at the boat ramp (usually sometime in September).

Training can be done onsite or online. There are two short videos that will prepare anyone to be a Courtesy Boat Inspector.

Onsite training can be accomplished whenever and wherever volunteers are doing inspections.
