Courtesy Boat Inspections
Friends Courtesy Boat Inspection Program had a very busy beginning! Over the Memorial Day weekend 90 boats were inspected. Our debut at Indian Hill Trading Post was a smashing success.
Many thanks to Craig Watt of Indian Hill Trading Post for hosting CBI this season.
Pam Warren, Chair of the Program Committee, wrote the DEP grant and we received $10,000 toward the cost of our CBI program. A staff of 3 has been hired. Kathy Lees is the coordinator/inspector and our two inspectors are Michael Nystrom and Greg Cironi. Tom Warren is our first volunteer for 2026—MORE ARE NEEDED!
Monetary Donations to support the program are gratefully received. Thanks to Holly Giles for the donation of a 10x10 tent for CBI.
Our ambitious plan is to inspect boats at four sites: Indian Hill Trading Post, Greenville Junction Wharf Boat Launch, Lower Wilson Pond Boat Launch, and Lily Bay State Park.
Please become a VOLUNTEER. Training is brief and can be done online or on site. To select a time and location, please go online www.fowpa.org to select your hours.
